Weekly CSA share contents for the winter season

  • Winter CSA Week 3

    Hello CSA Members!

The past few weeks have been filled with big harvests of storage crops from the field- celeriac, turnips, radishes, and beets. They are processed and then put into the walk-in cooler for storage. It’s a lot of work! But it ensures we’ll have plenty of food to pull from for the next few months. And all of our bunching greens- kale, chard, and collards- are protected under row cover in hoophouses out in the field.

New this week: we’ll have fresh dill, radishes, roasted chilies, arugula, and collards again. See you at pick-up!

Here is what we hope to bring you during Week 3:

1 – Dill or Parsley or Winter Radishes
2 – Carrots or Hakurei Turnips
    3 – Roasted Chilies
    4 – Cauliflower
    5 – Apples
6 – Spinach or Arugula or Lettuce

  • Winter CSA Week 13

    Hello CSA Members!

The final week of Winter CSA is here. It’s been a long time coming. I’ve loved seeing old faces from the summer and fall and some new faces this winter. CSA is such a rewarding part of farming because it reminds you of the end goal- to share beautifully grown vegetables with the community. All the hard work during the season truly pays off when we see the joy fresh produce brings to people.

Sign-ups for our Summer/Fall 2025 CSA will be available soon on our website! You can sign up now to be notified when memberships become available.

We would love to see you in May. Thanks for a great season!

Here is what we hope to bring you during Week 13:

1 – Leeks or Winter Radishes

    3 – Potatoes

  • Winter CSA Week 11

    Hello CSA Members!

There’s snow on the ground and it’s chilly outside, but we still have a lot left to bring you at CSA pick-up. Winter is a good time to reflect on the past season, think about what we can improve, and look forward to the next farming season.

Butternut squash is back this week! It’s one of my favorite winter squashes. I love just about any squash or root veggie roasted, but especially butternut, on it’s own or thrown into a salad or pasta dish.

Here is what we hope to bring you during Week 11:

1 – Leeks or Winter Radishes
2 – Hakurei Turnips or Purple Top Turnips or Carrots
    3 – Beets or Potatoes

  • Winter CSA Week 8

    Hello CSA Members!

At this point in the Winter CSA, I’ve accumulated a few different root veggies in my fridge, and I’m sure you have to. I’m thinking I’ll make a soup or just a big mixed root veggie roast this weekend. Someone told me yesterday at pick-up that they had made a mash of a few different root veggies that we’ve had at CSA- rutabaga, celeriac, and sunchokes. Keep sharing recipes! It makes my day to hear how you’ve enjoyed your veggies.

Just a reminder, we will not have CSA pick-up the week of the 23rd due to the holidays. See you next week or in a few weeks. Happy holidays!

1 – Leeks or Onions or Shallots
    2 -Potatoes or Rutabaga
