It is hard to believe we are a third of the way into the season already. With summer solstice just past, we are feeling the transitional phase of crops on the farm – you may be surprised with some new crops this week!
Here is what we hope to bring you during Week 7:
Regular Share:
1 – Herbs
2 – Baby Sweet Walla Walla Onion
3 – Kohlrabi, Fennel, OR Celtuce
4 – Carrot OR Beets
5 – Zucchini
6 – Bunched Greens
7 – Harvester’s Choice
Large Share Additions:
– Carrot AND Beets
– Pick 2 from Bunched Greens
– Harvester’s Choice
Fruit Share:
– Pending
The schedule for the fruit harvest will be erratic this summer due the exceptionally warm weather in Colorado earlier this year. In general, all of the fruit crops will be ripe about a month earlier than we are used to. There will likely be breaks throughout the season when there is no fruit available. But we are still hopeful that we will be able to fill the full 14 weeks of our Fruit Share.
