Hello CSA Members!

More of our summer crops are coming out of the field this week, including eggplant. We have a few different varieties we like to grow- Barbarella (pictured), Italian, and Japanese eggplant. Some people prefer to use the Barbarella more for baba ghanoush, the Italian eggplant for eggplant parmesan or other roasted dishes, and the Japanese eggplant for stir fry, but it is all up to personal preference.

After a rainy spring/early summer, we’re hoping the hot, sunny conditions the next few days will bring peppers and tomatoes to you soon. We will also have peaches again for the fruit share this week. See you at pick-up!

Regular Share:
1 – Parsley or Basil or Other herbs
2 – Onions or Fennel or Tomatillos
3 – Carrots
4 – Eggplant
5 – Cucumbers
6 – Zucchini
7 – Kale or Chard or Collards

Large Share Additions:
Choose 2 in Herb zone
Choose 2 in Kale/Chard/Collards zone
Choose 2 in Onion/Fennel/Tomatillo zone
Beets
