We are looking for a food-lover to work at our very fast-paced booth at the Boulder Farmers’ Market. We often work at a head-spinning pace and need somebody who can stay focused on work in a chaotic environment.
The farmers’ market is on Saturdays in Boulder and work hours are generally 6am – 4pm. The market is every Saturday through November 19. You must be available to work all markets through the last market on November 19. We might be able to accommodate you missing a couple of markets if needed.
You must be responsible, hard-working, punctual, and able to interact with customers in a friendly manner. You must also be able to lift at least 50 lbs multiple times every day. Experience with cash handling/cash register is helpful. Knowledge of produce is required. You must be able to create beautiful displays and quickly restock them throughout the day. This is a great job for a “foodie”. The market is extremely fast paced and fun!
Our booth at the farmers’ market is under an outdoor tent, so you must be able to work in all weather conditions. The weather is extreme, with 100 degrees in the summer and freezing near the end of the season. Large thunderstorms, rain, high winds, and snow are not uncommon. You must have your own reliable transportation.
